A date with the Ganesha


With the blessings of the eternal lord we celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in our mumbai office this year. The office was near completion and to begin our innings in the new surroundings the ganesh pooja was planned. Ganpati is a big occasion in Maharastra since preindependent India when Lokmanya Balgangadhar tilak planned mass celebration of ganpati to bring together the people and organize them to fight for the mortherland. The tradition has continued and it has now become a very character of the state.
The pooja this year was on sunday however being a permanent addendum of the office surroundings I was excited to host the lord . Sunday morning was busy as I accomapnied Giri and Santosh to bring the ganesha to our office. It was slightly crowded but was fun waiting to have the first look. We brought back the lord with chants of 'ganapati bappa mourya'. The office was beautyfully decorated for the arrival by prashant and the boyz. It was all set and the pooja started with the arrival of the preist. It was was short but enlighting and was followed by a feast of the prasad. We had our evening aarti by 7:00 pm and the lord seem to enjoy every bit of it. I was fortunate enough to be blessed by his auspicious presence the whole night. With the gayatri chants breaking the silence of the night you can feel the positive energy flowing all around.
The next morning aarti was before the staff could arrive, however each staff member was able to experience his presence. After the evening pooja we took the lord for his final journey into the sea. With the divine chants of Ganpati bappa mourya we went into the sea which was beaming with devotes bidding a final goodbye to the lord. Finally the lord was let go and we came back drenched in his blessings.

The equations of physics depicts the natural facts in human acessible form like E= (mc)c. The eqaution depicts the way energy and mass are related e,m and c here does mean energy mass and speed of light but they are just the representative variables for humans to comprehend a natural law. In the same sense the pictorial and idol description of lord are for us mortals to comprehend the divine. We are really blessed to have found him in this form which can be seen and and get awed by his Mystic Presence. Ganapati Bappa Mourya

She turned back and asked, " Why Do you love me? " She said, answer fast or you will be making up words and I know you do it very well. " Don't Think ", she was firm this time. Natural vs Artificial

The other day I got into an argument with our professor on the disasters which man made things have bought to our doorsteps. Well this post is not about the natural vs artificial debate but about the very definition of "Artificial". We define artificial as something conceived and created by man. We think just because the human mind has thought of it it somehow magically it is separated from the other natural things. I am of the view that there is nothing called as " Artificial ". It all natural out there. I think it is a gross arrogance on our part to think that just because we are self aware we are somehow detached from nature and we can function independently of it.
